The boy’s father wanted to teach him a lesson, so he gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper he must hammer a nail into their wooden fence. On the first day of this lesson, the little boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. He was really mad! Over the course of the next few weeks, the little boy began to control his temper, so the number of nails that were hammered into the fence dramatically decreased. It wasn’t long before the little boy discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Then, the day finally came when the little boy didn’t lose his temper even once, and he became so proud of himself, he couldn’t wait to tell his father. Pleased, his father suggested that he now pull out one nail for each day that he could hold his temper. Several weeks went by and the day finally came when the young boy was able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. Very gently, the father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. “You have done very well, my son,” he smiled, “but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.” The little boy listened carefully as his father continued to speak. “When you say things in anger, they leave permanent scars just like these. And no matter how many times you say you’re sorry, the wounds will still be there.”

1. The meaning behind my url?

haha my highschool japanese nickname was/is Aiko, and I was named that because of my “sweet nature and tendency to practice that kanji in particular on the back whiteboard”

2. A picture of me?

oh geeze…okay…there’s also the ones of me disneybounding on my blog, but other than those, this is the most recent photo, and it’s pretty decent. Or I have a couple really akward photos of me and a kitten if you want to see those?

3. Why I love my bestfriend?

well, you see, she’s kind of a bitch, but that’s just how she is, and she’s honest which I value, and she really is sweet and caring, and I know I can talk to her about anything and she won’t judge me. :) Thanks peanut butter <3

4. Last time I cried and why?

This is going to sound pathetic. About…a week and a half ago…maybe. I was looking into getting apartments because they’re so much cheaper than dorms and I REAALLY want to get out of the dorms. Well, my dad doesn’t. I was trying to talk to him about it (rather calmly for me, which I felt was a feat) and I said something that ticked him off and he yelled at me to NEVER speak of the subject again.(emphasis on the never) So yes, I cried. I think I may also have cried again shortly after…when mom and I were on the way to the post office and I saw a dog loose at the park and it didn’t seem like anyone was there with it, and my mother just seemed so callous to the whole situation that what if it was alone? it could be killed crossing a road or something. It just frustrated me.

Wow…that’s tough. Ummm Probably April 25! it’s not too hot, and it’s not too cold! (had to do it, anyways it’s been freezing where I am even now in may)

okay, for real tho, my friends and I had a conversation at the end of the year, bitches love stars :) hahaha and it’s true, stargazing. It doesn’t matter what we do in the evening, maybe go to dinner, walk the mall together, go bowling, go somewhere stupid and fun like chuck-e-cheese, or whatever; but afterwards when it gets dark, go walk in the park and find a spot to stargaze. :)

14. Piercings I want?

crazy enough…the ears were enough for me….I wear ear cuffs a lot, but I’d rather not go through another piercing.

17. A fact about my life?

My life has taken almost a complete 180 in the past year, and I’m so proud of where I am now. I’m working on taking a few things just a little bit further, but I’m proud.
